Danesfort is a County Kilkenny based Gaelic Athletic Association club that compete in the Kilkenny intermediate championship. The clubs pitch is located about 4 miles south of Kilkenny city on the Waterford road. The current goalkeeper is Shem Hurley, while back up to this position is provided by Thomas Ryan, a major player for the Danesfort football side.

Danesfort completed a mammoth season in 2007 by capturing the Kilkenny, Leinster and all-Ireland junior championship defeating Clooney Gaels of Antrim in the penultimate game in Croke Park.[1]
