Coginchaug Regional High School (C.R.H.S.) is a public high school located in Durham Connecticut, USA. The school is part of Regional School District #13 that services the towns of Durham and Middlefield, Connecticut. It is named after the Coginchaug River. Coginchaug is a traditional school with approximately 600 9th through 12th grade students.
The school's mascot is The Blue Devil. The school colors are blue and white.[3] The student newspaper is The Devil's Advocate The Vinal-Coginchaug Hawks is the Football team.
In recent years, Coginchaug has been competitive in track, golf, basketball and softball. The Coginchaug Softball The softball team has won eight CIAC state class "s" championship titles in the last ten years. The 2006-2007 Basketball season was a phenomenal success, and the "Dream Season" included winning the Shoreline Championship. The boys Cross Country team has won the shoreline championship title in 2004 and 2005, and the girls won the 2005 shoreline title. In 2001, the boys Cross country team won the CIAC state class "s" championship title, its only state championship to date.Cross Country has been historically the worst team at CRHS. The soccer team has played hard, but has come up short on wins, and won 0 in 2007.Despite having a great coach, the team was just too bad. The hope is that the underclassmen develop into better athletes.
