Christophe Maé (born October 16, 1975) is a French singer who has played the role of Monsieur in the musical Le Roi Soleil since 2005. He is known for songs such as "Ça marche" and "Et vice Versailles". He learned to play the violin at age 6, and later began playing the guitar and harmonica at age 16 after he was immoblized from a chronic illness. This is when he discovered his inspiration: Stevie Wonder.[citation needed] His musical influences are Bob Marley, Ben Harper, Tracy Chapman, and Jack Johnson as well as French singer-songwriters Francis Cabrel and Gérald De Palmas.

He released his solo album, "Mon paradis" (My Paradise) on March 19, 2007. The first single was "On s'attache". The second single is "Parce qu'on sait jamais" and the third is "Ça fait mal". His fourth and current single is "Belle Demoiselle".
His first tour is promoted by Jean-Claude Camus. Christophe Maé opened for Seal at the Grand Rex in Paris and for Cher at the Zénith de Paris, both in 2004. His debut solo album Mon Paradis is France's best-selling album of 2007 after Life In Cartoon Motion by Mika, selling 700 000 albums so far. He has been a father for three months . His son is named Jules and he was born on 11th March .
