Centar (Macedonian: Центар) is the central municipality of the 10 municipalities that make up the city of Skopje, the capital of the Republic of Macedonia. Centar is home to the Parliament and Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia.

The Vardar River runs on the edge of the municipality along the border with Čair municipality. Vodno Mountain overlooks Centar. The municipality's total area is 7.52 km2. Centar borders several other municipalities including: Karpoš municipality to the west, Čair municipality to the north-east, Aerodrom municipality to the south-east, and Kisela Voda municipality to the south.

According to the last National census from 2002 this municipality has 45,412 inhabitants, with 6,032.18 people per square kilometer.
Ethnic groups in the municipality include:
- Macedonians = 38,778
- Serbs = 2,037
- Albanians = 1,465
- others.

Centar is home to the main campus of Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje.
