[edit] Biography
Before entering the adult film industry, she had several jobs, and was "getting fired from every job I've had. I was a receptionist. I was a waitress. I got fired as a hostess at a restaurant for sleeping."[2]
Ashley Blue has won numerous Adult Video News awards, including 2004 Female Performer of the Year and 2005 Best Supporting Actress.[3] In March, 2004 she signed a three year contract with JM Productions, appearing in the Girlvert series.[4]
According to Blue, "Girlvert is a mockery of my life. I ran away from home. I started doing porno. I hate my mom. I hate my dad. Everything that has happened to me in porn [is in the series]. Me getting together with Trent. Me dumping him. Me calling him a fag. Every time I get gonorrhea, we throw it into the story."[2]
On February 14, 2007 she ended her contract with JM Productions, entering immediately into a one-year commitment with LA Direct Models.[4] She still remains on good terms with JM and plans on making more Girlverts.
Blue has also been romantically linked to actors within the industry, including Trent Tesoro and Jonni Darkko. She sued Tesoro on an episode of Judge Mathis in 2003.[5] There was also an attempt by a friend of hers to get her on The Surreal Life, though this failed mainly because the producers of the series were attempting to steer away from using pornographic actors.[2]
Blue is currently romantically linked to photographer Dave Naz.[6]
As a guest on the Sirius Satellite Radio show Inside the Porn Actors Studio, Blue was very vocal about her anti-Muslim views. In response to a hypothetical question about who she would have sex with in a pornographic production (the two choices being a KKK member or a member of Al Qaeda), she replied that, "I hate Muslims. Fuck them. I hate Muslims...I fucking hate Muslims."[7]
In reply to online criticism on her comments, she wrote on her blog claiming that she answered the question in a "joking manner", claiming that it fit the show as she believes that "it is a farce on how serious porno stars may take themselves". About the interview, she wrote that she did not "consider it to be a credible source of information. I was honest and tried my best to be light and entertaining. If I knew that my foul humor would offend any of this show's viewers' sensitive ears, I would not have tried to be so outrageous."[8]
She does a voice for the cartoon Three Thug Mice [1]
