Ardcath is a hamlet in County Meath , Ireland.
It is a small area inhabitated by 1,500 people. The local pub, Bennett's is the main attration, due to the lack of services within the area. Several shops were once present but have all closed down. The most recent of these shops was "Gough's".
A school, which is principaled by Mr. Noel Friel, is present. There is a low level of students attending, currently circa 50 pupils. Other well known teachers are Miss Moore the late Miss Burke.
The church and graveyard both date back to the 16th century and are now parishoned by Father Phil. The priest is well known for his friendliness and interest in the local people and activities.
The surrounding areas include Garristown, Clonalvy, Duleek, Battramstown, Bellewstown and Stamullen.
