Adams Arms

Adams Arms, Incorporated is a manufacturing company based in Clearwater, Florida. Adams Arms developed a Retro-Fit Piston Driven System to transform and revolutionize the AR-15/M16 rifle.
The AR-15/M16 rifle has current problems with the existing impingement systems heat/dirt (Carbon/Debris)
The major problem with the current system is that hot gasses and carbon from the expelled round are directed into the bolt carrier and receiver. This increase in temperature and dirt causes the bolt/ bolt carrier to fail in several areas of its function, and causes parts to break/wear.
1) The gas rings around the bolt wear down or become very soiled.
2) The ejector and extractor springs loose their compression force causing the spent shell to not be expelled.
3) The bolt carrier does not move backwards and forward through the receiver to properly function.
4) The chamber, where the shell is placed becomes hotter and dirtier. This causes the spent shell to adhere to the inside of the chamber, where it stays stuck in the chamber, where it stays stuck in the chamber, not ejecting.
5) The gas tube melts or burns causing huge flow/pressure problems resulting in not enough pressure to push the bolt carrier backwards.
It is very important that all functioning parts of the bolt/bolt carrier, most important the external slides of the bolt carrier, stay well lubricated to allow the gun to cycle properly. There is a constant need to lubricate the parts on a fully automatic gun.
The need for lubrication causes a major problem in a dirty environment. The lubrication acts like a magnet to the foreign residue (i.e. dust, sand, and other environmental debris).
The impingement system must undergo an intensive cleaning to function properly and to protect the integrity of the parts.
B) Another issue with theAR-15/M16 rifle occurs when the barrels are manufactured under 16 inches. the impingement system starts to cause major timing issues relating to the carrier moving backwards causing cycling problems, and jamming the systems of the gun.
Functioning of the retro-fit piston developed by Adams Arms allows for the gas pressure from the barrel to pass pit the gas port up the barrel passes out the gas port up through a whole in the gas block into the gas plug, on to the gas sleeve/drive rod which activated the gas sleeve/drive rod. The drive rod pushes on a new bolt carrier key that cause the bolt carrier to move its backwards action. Benefits:
* All of the hot gas and carbon are expelled into the environment right behind the gas block far away from the bolt carrier/receiver. * The bolt carrier runs and stays clean with no increase in temperature. * There is no need to lubricate the bolt carrier or its parts. This will eliminate the cause to collect external debris.
