This user (Jens Persson) has been trying the same edit for some time now. There are other opinions that are being pushed elsewhere, like trying to replace spoken samples of Swedish (Sweden, Svealand, Östersund, etc) because he believes it inappropriate that they be spoken with a Stockholm accent. He's edited as User:130.242.128.85, User:Hunef and a few others (I think).

Yes, I have been using several IP numbers (due to moving between Jämtland, Uppsala and Stockholm and a new internet connection here in Jämtland where I am at the moment) and I also have an account User:Hunef which I use for more serious projects involving media files. I always sign with Jens Persson in talk pages when not logged in, though.
I definitely think that the local region's pronunciation should be valued higher than the Stockholmish one, but the most neutral Swedish pronunciation should of course have priority. I will only replace sound files which have to to with geographical locations in Jämtlands län, and only if the recorder has a distinct local, non Jämtland-Härjedalen accent, of course. The problem is that my microphone seems to be not good enough. I will possibly purchase a new one.

Problem is, I corrected an incorrect unreferenced table! I am simply following Levander's thesis on Elfdalian (1909). I chose 'warg' instead of 'est' due to the fact that it shows softening g > dj in some declinations of the paradigm. This change is a very important principle.

[edit] Regarding Pronunciation of Tafl

Yes, in Icelandic phonology, the word "Tafl" is pronounced [tap'l], not [tavl]. I don't know if it has that pronunciation in some other language, but Icelandic is by far the nearest living language to Old Norse, and therefor the most indicative of Old Norse pronunciations.Wilhelm meis (talk) 17:39, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the explanation about the ModIce pronunciation in this case. I don't agree though that Icelandic is the best indicator for Old Norse pronunciation. There are better indicators among the archaic Mainland Norse dialects, such as e.g. Elfdalian.

Hi. I'm sure you and User:Jonathan both mean well, but between the two of you you've set it up so that the page Gustav Horn af Björneborg only redirects to a redirect page that redirects back to itself. Would you please discuss it between the two of you, perhaps at Talk:Gustav Horn af Björneborg#Name? and settle on one name or the other (immediately, temporarily at least) and set up one of the pages to be the actual article? You've done what's called a copy-and-paste move. Please put it back the way it was. I told you -- only an admin can do that kind of move correctly. I think probably Jonathan was just trying to help, and that Jonathan and I both made some mistakes.
