Flamingos ( listen (info • help)) are birds. They are gregarious wading birds. They are in the genus Phoenicopterus and family Phoenicopteridae. They are found in both the Western and Eastern Hemispheres. There are four species in the Americas.Two kinds of flamingos live in the Old World.
