Ang Unibersidad ng Santo Tomas o mas kilala sa pangalang University of Santo Tomas o St. Tomas University sa wikang Ingles ay isang pamantasan sa Maynila na itinaguyod noong taong 1611 ng Dominikano na si Miguel de Benavides, O.P., Arsobispo ng Maynila kasama sila Domingo de Nieva at si Bernardo de Santa Catalina. Unang tinawag ito sa pangalang Colegio Nuestra Señora del Santísimo Rosario hanggang sa pinangalanan ulit ito bilang Colegio de Santo Tomás bilang pag-gunita sa Dominikano na si Santo Tomas de Aquino. Taong 1645, itinaas ni Innocent X ang antas ng universidad (katumbas ng “pamantasan” o “university” sa Tagalog o Ingles) bilang isang pamantasan. Ang buong pangalan ng pamantasan sa wikang Ingles ay "the Pontifical and Royal University of Santo Tomas, The Catholic University of the Philippines". Taong 1785, ipinagkaloob ni Carlos III ng Espanya sa pamantasan ang titulong "Royal University" dahil sa ipinamalas na katapangan at katapatan ng pangasiwaan at mga estudyante laban sa paglusob ng mga kawal ng England sa Maynila. Iginawad ni León XIII sa pamantasan ang titulong "Pontifical University" sa taong 1902 at ipinagkaloob naman ni Pío XII dito ang titulong "The Catholic University of the Philippines" sa taong 1974.

Isa ang University of Santo Tomas sa pinakamalaking pamantasang Katoliko sa buong mundo sa bilang ng mga mag-aaral sa isang kampus.
