Sherwood-Drolet is a maker of ice hockey equipment, which it sells under the Sher-Wood brand.
[edit] Sticks
Sher-Wood makes two types of hockey sticks, like most hockey manufacturers do — composite and wooden. Players like Jason Spezza, Pierre-Marc Bouchard, Antoine Vermette, and Tomas Plekanec are sponsored by Sher-Wood for sticks.
[edit] Wooden sticks
Until 2007 Sher-Wood was the last ice hockey manufacturing company to produce their own wooden sticks in North America, the other companies having all offshored production to developing countries. In late 2007, Sherwood-Drolet announced that they would also move production of cheaper wooden sticks overseas to concetrate their North Amreican plants on composite sticks.[1]
[edit] Goaltending equipment
Johan Holmqvist, Jocelyn Thibault, and Dany Sabourin are among the NHL goalies sponsored by Sher-Wood.
