Sam Apelbaum
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sam Apelbaum is a politician in Ontario, Canada. A lawyer and real estate agent, he has been the leader of the Libertarian Party of Ontario since 1996.
Like many other members of the Libertarian Party, Apelbaum believes in unrestricted capitalism, and criticized the Progressive Conservative government of Mike Harris as being too statist in its policies.
The Libertarian Party of Ontario is a small organization that was on the verge of collapsing when Apelbaum became leader in late 1996. He has stabilized its finances, but has not managed to make a significant impression with the general voting public.
