Piątnica

Piątnica is a village in Northeastern Poland right outside of Łomża. The village is a suburb of Łomża that lies directly across the Narew River from the city.It was found by Janusz from Zaborowo who built also a first church (1407). The village has a Neo-Gothic church (1931),which was destroyed during the Second World War and reconstructed after that. There are also Russian forts from the 19th century and the First World War. Population: 2,343 (2007).
