"My Turf War" is the 135th episode of the American sitcom Scrubs. It aired as episode 18 of season 6 on April 26, 2007.

After Keith leaves for the weekend to visit family, J.D. feels a little left out when Elliot's wild sorority sister, Melody (Keri Russell) comes to town. Not able to deal with being the third wheel, he turns the girls against each other in the hopes that he will once again be Elliot's priority friend.

Meanwhile, Turk and Dr. Cox go head to head when they disagree over whether or not a patient-requested surgery (for Lloyd the Delivery Guy) is necessary. Elsewhere, Carla discovers an unlikely ghost haunting pediatrics in an attempt to keep it clean. The ghost is in fact played by the Janitor and haunts children who spill things in an attempt to cut down mess.

Keith unexpectedly returns and reveals his true intentions for the brief hiatus. He went to ask Dr. Simon Reid for Elliot's hand in marriage. The episode ends with Keith proposing to Elliot. Melody and J.D. walk in on the scene, with Melody piggybacked by J.D. in the background.

[edit] Cultural references

• The scene where Elliot and Melody's scream blasts away everyone in the hall is a parody of Stephen Chow's Kung Fu Hustle.
• The flying cow is a parody of the tornado scene in Twister
• The "Air-Drum" solo that Lloyd plays would have been in the Guinness book of world records for longest air drum solo on a tv program, but the shot was cut short.
• When Melody elbows the jukebox to get it working again, she makes a reference to the Fonz of the TV show Happy Days.

• The first time Turk meets Lloyd as his patient, he asks "Didn't we play in an air band once?" This is a reference to the episode My Half-Acre in which Turk is the singer to the Janitor, Ted, and Lloyd's air band "The Cool Cats".
• In this episode we are told Dr. Mickhead is a surgeon. But in the episode, "My Jiggly Ball", Dr. Mickhead is shown as a medical physician. While it is most likely a continuity error, it is also possible that, like Dr. Kevin Casey, he has a dual specialty as both a physician and surgeon.
