Logical Sensory Extrovert

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

For the Myers-Briggs and Keirsey Temperament Sorter facsimiles of this type, see ESTJ.

The Logical Sensory Extrovert, LSE, ESTj, the Director, the Administrator, Sherlock Holmes, Stirlitz, or is one of the sixteen Socionics types. The Logical Sensory Extrovert is a rational, extroverted, dynamic type whose leading functions are extroverted logic and introverted sensing.

[edit] Model A

LSE

[edit] Ego block

[edit] 1. Extroverted logic

LSEs are particularly sensitive to the productivity, quality, and effectiveness of everything happening around them. The tend to freely criticize that which is pointless, poorly done, bound to fail, and all manifestations of unprofessionalism, as well as offer numerous tips and pointers for how these things can be improved.

LSE often have many hobbies and enjoy a number of different gatherings. Deciding how to use recreation time is usually not hard for the LSE who from a young age has developed interest in the activities he has taken part in.

[edit] 2. Introverted sensing

Most LSEs are very concerned about comfort and convenience in their surroundings, and tend to work hard to put things in order and create a living space conducive to rest, work, and comfort. Their opinions on these matters are usually strong, and they are willing to take the lead in organizing living conditions.

Having everything in an organized fashion is extremely important for the LSE to relax. Until every task that the LSE expects to accomplish is finished he can not stop thinking about his duties.

Aesthetic appeal is very important to the LSE. This it applies in all aspects of its life - work, living environment, relationships, and so on. Having distasteful or "ugly" relationships, a poorly kept home or living quarters, or putting little effort into one's occupation that one only meets a "passing grade" - all of these things are unappealing to the LSE.

The LSE is wary of tension and the ability to relax. Although it can work tirelessly for some time, when it is time to relax, the LSE is truly interested in rest and pleasant activity. When very interested in its work, rest may be for only enough time to eat, catch its breath, and be at peace for the necessary recuperative time, and then it will jump fully back into its working mode. When it willingly accepts a more "vacation-like" atmosphere, and see itself as having adequate leisure time, the LSE will delve into the depths of pleasure and aestheticism. Particularly are earthly delights such as good food and healthy physicality are acknowledged by the LSE.

Generally speaking the LSE has good endurance and knows how to live in ways that are healthy.

[edit] Super-Ego block

[edit] 3. Extroverted ethics

The LSE often has a number of friends who he enjoys spending time with. These individuals are usually not involved in work with the LSE, as the LSE will work his employees to the absolute threshold of efficiency.

[edit] 4. Introverted intuition

The LSE does not change over time. Instead he becomes more knowledgeable about those things he has cared about in the past.

(? That above description seems very vague)

Matters of time expenditure of extremely important to LSEs. They may have tendency to want everything done as well as possible, as fast as possible, to the highest possible quality, often disregarding or not properly accounting for the amount of time necessary to do work in such a way.

LSEs do not enjoy wasting time on certain conversations, activities, or things where they are not particularly deriving much utility from.

LSEs may often complain about not having enough time to do everything that they would like to do in a given period, such as a day, week, etc.

Planning is a matter of avoidance or extreme importance to LSEs. The LSE can go into a mode of operating that is characterized by a strong desire to do everything at the present moment, and sometimes can be extremely insistent that things get done "right now". When making plans for the future, the LSE can become extremely regimented and organized, sometimes to a fault, because they do not leave room for unforeseen obstacles - which can disappoint the LSE when they have to deal with them and take away more of its precious time.

LSEs accept with great difficulty vagueness or uncertainty when it comes to matters important to them.

[edit] Super-Id block

[edit] 5. Introverted ethics

LSEs have a great reverence for understanding, good will, moral support, traditions, and stability in relationships. Yet they are unable to generate these things on their own as they focus on rational activity, comfort, and efficiency. They have a deep need for someone to help them make sense of their feelings towards things on a very regular basis.

LSEs are sensitive and wary about morality and particularly its perversion. It is generally difficult for the LSE to trust people, or for that matter, systems or forms of belief that seem questionable. Wary of matters of loyalty, to show vagueness, or direct disloyalty, this surely will make the LSE doubt whether or not to think about the perpetrator in the same way. Loyalty over time is more significant than kind words now and then.

Combined with weak intuition and valuing Fi>Fe, the LSE is extremely suspicious at acts of grandiosity or "intentional kindness". It does not enjoy when people try to provoke certain emotional effects from it. The LSE may consequentially lose much respect for people who try to provoke its emotions.

The LSE will approach all relationships on its own terms, yet what it is looking for - consistency and stability - it feels dependent on other people to provide.

Though the LSE may be social and have many acquaintances, particularly through work or leisure activities, its close friends are extremely important to it. It will go to great lengths to make sure the physical and concrete needs of these close relationships are met, in hopes that people will reward these efforts with stable relations and security.

[edit] 6. Extroverted intuition

The LSE often holds strong opinions about how a perfect world should look. More often than not, they have no clue as to what changes would have to occur to bring about that change.

LSEs often have a hard time discerning the true nature of people, and their intentions towards the LSE. This can lead to the LSE being "unapproachable" in some aspects, or particularly wary or suspicious of others. (Consider how this would balance out their dual, the EII, who is often more hopeful of people).

When the LSE is stuck or working on things, it appreciates careful suggestions or ideas on how to improve things, or ways to consider a problem or solution. The acceptance of these suggestions may have some relation to the LSE's interpretation of the ethical quality of the source, and yet, at times, the LSE may seem to take useful ideas from different areas, so long as they are functional and applicable to the situation it is working on.

Weak intuition in general tends to lead the ESTj to follow rules and regulations, instruction manuals, and other precedented methods of action. However, in the quest for efficiency, LSEs may experiment to come up for superior ways of doing things.

[edit] Id block

[edit] 7. Introverted logic

LSEs have wildly different interests from one another, and often ones interests will be another's taboo.

[edit] 8. Extroverted sensing

The LSE has a great understanding of how he looks to those around him, and generally seeks to maintain a high regard in the eyes of others. To do this, the LSE will work to furnish a home with things that he thinks explain his personality and have a good base of knowledge about his interests.
