Leandro Benítez, (born April 5, 1981 in Ensenada) is an Argentine football (soccer) player. He usually plays as a midfielder on the left side of the pitch.
A native of Ensenada, Benítez grew in the youth system of Estudiantes de La Plata, and in 2001 was transferred to Quilmes Atlético Club where he played two years, and then to Olimpo de Bahía Blanca where he stayed another two years. A transfer to Spanish side Elche did not work out due to left knee problems.
Back in Estudiantes since 2005, Benítez was part of the 2006 Apertura championship team, and remained with the team, where (as of mid-2007) he alternates with Pablo Piatti for a place in the starting eleven.
