Kenilworth is a suburb in Cape Town, South Africa, bordered by Wynberg to the south and Claremont to the north. Kenilworth railway station is on the main line from Cape Town to Simon's Town. Main Road (which runs from Central Cape Town through to Simon's Town) runs through Kenilworth, and the suburb can also be accessed from the M5 freeway.
[edit] Kenilworth Racecourse
An attraction which draws visitors to Kenilworth is the Kenilworth Racecourse. The oldest race course in the country, it is home to the J&B Met (held in late January each year), an event which draws more than 50,000 spectators. Numerous other national horse races are held at Kenilworth throughout the year.
