[edit] Controversies

In the dying minutes of Manly's 2nd game of the 2008 NRL season against Newcastle, Perry gave away a crucial penalty and was placed on report for an alleged headbutt on rival Danny Wicks. Until this incident, Manly had led the match. The Knights then went on to win 13-12 in extra time.
