Glen de Boeck (born August 22, 1971) is a Belgian football manager and current manager of Cercle Brugge. He is also a former professional central defender. He played much of his career on the books of R.S.C. Anderlecht. In February of 2005, Glen De Boeck decided to end his career due to a heavy knee injury. He was directly snapped up by his club Anderlecht to become an assistant manager together with Daniel Renders.
De Boeck made his international debut with Belgium on October 6, 1993 against Gabon (a friendly). In the summer of 1995, De Boeck was transferred from KV Mechelen to R.S.C. Anderlecht. In the late 1990s, De Boeck was criticized by pundits saying he was not good enough for Anderlecht. He eventually increased his technical performances to become one of the best central defenders in Jupiler League in the early 2000s.
On April 23, 2007, it was revealed that De Boeck would become manager of Jupiler League side Cercle Brugge at the end of the 2006-07 season. De Boeck succeeded Harm Van Veldhoven, who had already chosen to leave Cercle for Germinal Beerschot.
On February 1, 2008, the Cercle direction declared that De Boeck signed a new contract with Cercle until 2011, he became the first technical director of Cercle Bruges, responsible for the further development of the football team.
