Double "H" Ranch
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Double H Ranch is a free recreational camp for children dealing with life-threatening illnesses.
During the summer the Ranch offers a traditional residential camp experience with programs such as arts & crafts, swimming, horseback riding, music, drama and a high ropes course.
In the winter the Adaptive Winter Sports Program offers children the opportunity to participate in Alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and family ski weekends.
During the Spring and Fall the Ranch offers a variety of specialty programs and weekend get-a-ways for children and families.
The Double H Ranch was co-founded 15 years ago by Charles R. Wood and Paul Newman. A fundamental principle that no child should be denied the joys of childhood due to an illness or physical limitation, nor should they be restricted due to a family’s financial situation.
