Doctor Impossible is a fictional character, a DC Comics supervillain that first appeared in Justice League of America, vol. 2 #1. Brad Meltzer and Ed Benes created the character, based on concepts by Jack Kirby.[citation needed]
[edit] Fictional character biography
Little or nothing is yet known about this enigmatic figure. Visually, he looks like a dark doppleganger of Mr. Miracle of the New Gods. While Mr. Miracle is aided by his benevolent Mother Box and uses Boom Tubes to travel from place to place, Dr. Impossible uses a Father Box and "Hush Tubes."
Dr. Impossible claims to be the brother of Mr. Miracle from Apokolips. He was also responsible for putting a Starro parasite on Karate Kid, thereby tricking the hero into believing he was the villainous Trident.
However, prior to actually appearing, it was rumored amongst the criminal underground that he was previously one of The Penguin's thugs that got hold of some technology from Apokolips[citation needed].
According to the character BIO from the back of the Wave 2 Justice League of America Action Figures: "Dr. Impossible- Armed with his razor discs, Jonas Lock has the power to break out of anything. Born on Apokolips, Dr. Impossible is the half-brother ... brother -- no one knows for sure -- of Mr Miracle. As Scott Free favored the powers of Highfather, Impossible favored the strength of Darkseid. Always jealous of Scott Free, he swore to forever beat his brother. Rather than be a Mister, he became a Doctor. he still doesn't know how he got to Earth, or became a Penguin goon. All he wants is the truth."
