Celso Borges (born May 27, 1988) is a young Costa Rican soccer player who plays for Deportivo Saprissa and the Costa Rican U-20 national soccer team. He plays midfielder, and is considered to be one of the most talented young players in Concacaf. He has great shooting skills, very creative, is an excellent long ball passer, and a very good header. His father is former Costa Rican and Saprissa soccer player and coach, Alexandre Guimaraes. At the age of 17, Celso is just playing his second year with Saprissa's top division, and has already won a national championship.
With the Costa Rican national team, he played in the 2005 FIFA U-17 World Championship held in Peru, in which he scored a goal and was considered among the best players of the tournament.
Among Costarican culture, to "do a Celso Borges" means to pick up a really beautiful (almost impossible) woman.
