[edit] Opening comments

Recently invented sounds much better than pseudo, though if it could be reworded perhaps the word/link to religion could be left out altogether as it doesn't really strike me as a religion at all (especially if you compare it to say the Rastas who actually have a God, prophets, beliefs in immortality, etc), but pseudo is a bit of a put down, SqueakBox 00:11, August 28, 2005 (UTC)

I have changed it to claims to be a religion, which seems closer to the mark, SqueakBox 00:22, August 28, 2005 (UTC)

Is the "legally constituted" bit checkable? --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 10:40, 28 August 2005 (UTC)

The site says A formal Petition to Congress announcing the Establishment of a Religion, pursuant to the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America which I took to mean legally constituted. the question is debated here. It is about as confirmable as the religion bit. equalrughtsforall claims Anyone may incorporate Cantheism into their current religious persuasion which doesn't strike m,e as a religion. I must say I have doubts about the notability of the group. Google gave me 41 of 511 results, the others being omitted as repetitive. In conclusion I would argue that it probably is neither legally constituted nor a religion, but that if it isn't a legally constituted religion it shouldn't be described as a religion at all, SqueakBox 11:54, August 28, 2005 (UTC)

How about the latest version? Certainly if Rastas are cantheists it cannot be a religion as they are by definition devoted exclusively to Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia, SqueakBox 11:57, August 28, 2005 (UTC)

I've added a sentence to bring out the link more obviously. Is that OK? --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 18:30, 28 August 2005 (UTC)

I restructured your sentence but kept the meaning intact. I think the article looks acceptable now, SqueakBox 19:07, August 28, 2005 (UTC)

Looks great, SqueakBox 22:12, August 28, 2005 (UTC)

Under UN and EU regulation religious beliefs need no governmental acceptance to be valid under the law. I wasn't aware Wikipedia believed itself to be a greater authority. Rev. Paul Farnhill admin@cannabisassembly.org

[edit] Changes

There appears to be an internal contradiction here. It says cantheism is open to all churches but references the Christian Bible for its creed. magicOgre 15:54, 24 December 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for flagging this article which was basically very wiki destyled by an anon editor. This kind of thing needs preventing! I have removed the unencyclopedic entry and restyled it, SqueakBox 16:10, 24 December 2005 (UTC)

I am a practicing Cantheist Minister and I quote no bible references in the descriptions of my beliefs. As Cantheism is multi denominational individual Cantheists may, however, quote the literature of their religions in the use of cannabis. Such as Moses receiving the recipe for Hebrew annointing oil, Jesus being the 'Christ' or 'anointed one', Buddha living on cannabis seed in the years before his revelation, or Shiva being 'Lord of Bhang'. As you would expect of a multi denominational belief system. Rev. Paul Farnhill admin@cannabisassembly.org

[edit] Already in Wictionary

There's already an entry in Wictionary for this. Either this article needs more content (not just a definition and links) or it should be a redirect to Wictionary. --Nagle 17:41, 30 March 2006 (UTC)

As I am unfamiliar with the requirements of Wikipedia I am unsure as to the information required for your pages. I would be happy to fill in any blanks if it would be of assistance? Rev. Paul Farnhill admin@cannabisassembly.org
